Hello,
I have two short questions concerning the behavior of the Martians:
1) If a Martian see's the rover (if it is within it's vieport ellipse), does the martian chase the rover?
2) What are the Martians doing if they don't see the rover? Are they ... moving around, staying in one position, ...?

The behaviour and intelligence of the martians is totally unspecified, as the focus of the portfolio project is not on the AI part of the task.

Apologies, but what do you mean by "the behaviour is unspecified"? So we don't have to care about their movement? Is there a extra turret gun mounted on the rover to shoot them down?
Or are they randomly roaming around and we have no way of knowing where they are next thus giving us no chance trying to dodge them. |

Their behaviour, beyond the task specification, is unspecified. You don't have to implement any intelligent movement (by human standards).
Zitat: Martians, while hostile, possess no special physical abilities; that is, they cannot drive
through craters, pass through objects, or escape the boundary of the map. The physics of Martian movement is the same as for the rover, although they may be faster or slower, etc.
Martians are slightly smaller than the rover, having a radius of 0.4m.
If they were randomly roaming around, you should be able to dodge them quite easily.  |
